The Kids In College provides enrichment, exploration skills, and processes to enhance learning and knowledge in the areas of science, math, art, and technology. There are sessions for students entering grades 4th, 5th, and 6th, with different sessions for students entering 7th and 8th. In the Weather Research program, the young scientists learn to take weather observations by recording the current temperatures and making cloud observations. We follow weather satellites and watch the collection of real-time imagery as they orbit overhead. During the week, local research scientists are invited to share their research interest with the young scientists.
